At 19, I moved to Arizona and began working at a jewelry store after leaving college. Gemology quickly enthralled me, and metal became my creative medium. After a few years selling jewelry, I searched for local classes and found KP Studio—what the universe led me to, and I’m forever grateful for that.
Beginning my metalsmith journey there introduced me to inspiring mentors and friends who’ve taught me nearly everything I know. My passion for the craft grew so deeply that I even took on “cat duty” for a discount on my bench rental and 24-hour workshop access.
After a successful holiday season with Tiffany & Co., I returned home to Wisconsin, where I reside today. Having seen many sides of the jewelry industry, I’ve discovered my heart belongs to the artisanal side. Now, I collaborate with my customers—like a group art project—to create pieces that are both beautiful and masterfully crafted.
