As I’m getting into the groove of owning my own business(today marks three months!), I’m realizing the tools that are most essential. Two main pieces of equipment that I’ve know that I need are a magnetic tumbler and a rolling mill. There is a ton of variation in the types of these tools and a huge swing in price dependent on the variation I choose. It is a tough decision, because the more affordable options, won’t meet my needs long term, but they’ll provide part of what I’m needing. Tough decisions! I will definitely be acquiring the tumbler first, as I need it for the pieces I currently fabricate. The time savings with the tumbler will be massive. As for the rolling mill, most likely, it will be second hand to get the size/ sturdiness I require. Unfortunately they weigh a lot, so I’m trying to avoid shipping and looking locally, which is like a needle in a haystack. As silver prices have risen, I’ve decided to liquidate a good chunk of my stash, so I’m looking at tumblers as we speak. Stay tuned!
