I moved to Arizona at 19 and started working at a jewelry store after dropping out of college. The gemology enthralled me, and the metal became a potential medium. After a couple of years selling at jewelry stores, I looked up to see if there were any jewelry classes in my area. KP Studio is what the universe led me to, and I'm forever grateful for that. I was blessed to meet many wonderful people once I started my metalsmith journey that have inspired and taught me everything I know. I had fallen into such a deep passion for the craft that I took on "cat duty" for a discount on my bench rental and a key for 24-hour access to a workshop with essential tools. After a successful holiday season working at Tiffany & Co., I decided to move from Arizona back home to Wisconsin, where I reside today. I've seen a lot of sides of the jewelry industry, and the artisanal side is where my heart is. Today, I work in collaboration with my customers (like a group art project) to create something beautiful, masterfully crafted.
